FIREWEED
Students have been discussing the forest fires across our state and reflecting on the stages of its process- how beauty can be found after the destruction as a symbol of hope.
This project started using charcoal or actual burned wood pieces to distress the canvas to represent fire:
Then added layers of spray paint and acrylic to complete the life cycle of Fireweed:
