FIREWEED
Gets its nickname as the first pioneer after a forest fire.
Several classes this week began the project with a destructive step to symbolize the fire phase before seeds take root:
burning, charcoal, tearing, thick smoky spray paint...

Some moved into a green/ blue layer of spray paint as we discussed the life cycle of fireweed - how we can find our own story in the growth process: forest fire, planted seed, sprout, bloom, airborne fuzzy seed...
